The LASIK Eye Model is made of hard, durable plastic and measures 5 3/4 inches in diameter. It is realistically colored and textured, and is designed primarily for patient education in LASIK surgery.

Many patients find current explanations about LASIK surgery difficult to follow and may be apprehensive about procedures they don't understand. This unique model of the human eye allows the doctor or technician to quickly and completely familiarize the patient with this procedure.

The realistic "flap" in the front of the model simulates the incision by the surgeon during the LASIK surgery, whereby the flap pivots back and forth.

In addition to reassuring the patient, the model also provides the opportunity to demonstrate the surgical effect on the focal length of the eye, and how acuity is improved through surgery. Quick and easy to use, this model will save the doctor or technician time.
