Our product range includes a wide variety of high precision DC-Motor, gear, feedback, and drive technologies with the focus on providing you, the customer, with the correct type of component for your specific miniature DC motion control requirements.

DC Motors:

MicroMo Electronics' DC motors differ from conventional, iron-rotor DC motors in that they are equipped with an ironless, self-supporting, skew-wound copper coil surrounding rare-earth magnets. This construction offers several advantages. The low moment of inertia allows rapid acceleration and deceleration. The coil surrounding the magnet provides a compact design for a high torque-to-volume ratio. Removing iron from the rotor improves efficiency and eliminates cogging. These motors excel in demanding battery-powered applications.

Brushless Motors:

MicroMo Electronics' brushless DC servomotors survive reliably under extreme operating conditions. A low-inductance, skew-wound stator coil offers minimal EMI noise and eliminates cogging for smooth rotation. Well balanced rotors and precision ball bearings minimize audible noise and maximize life. On average, the lifetime may exceed 10,000 hours if the motors operate within recommended ratings.

Stepper Motors:

MicroMo's 2-phase miniature stepper motors are constructed with two different technologies. The AM series motors are constructed with a patented technology allowing for maximum power in a small package. The rotor is designed using NdFeB magnets placed equidistantly on the rotor hub. The ADM series motors are constructed with a magnetized disk magnet hub. Both designs reduce the number of components needed for assembly and provide for high reliability and outstanding shock and vibration resistance. These unique miniature stepper motor designs result in a reliable, powerful, and quiet motor in a very small size.

Piezo Motors:

The Piezo LEGS® and PiezoWAVE™ motor lines interface piezo-electric material with the output drive making backlash-free positioning possible down to nanometer or microradian resolution. This interface eliminates the need for gearboxes, leadscrews, nuts, and other fragile transmission components. In addition to increasing longevity, the removal of complex transmission increases system efficiency. With better efficiency and low voltage operation, the piezo motors offer a superior alternative to many traditional motor solutions, especially for battery applications. The simple, cost-effective, robust designs meet the needs of applications from consumer electronics to metrology instrumentation.

Micro-Drives:

Micro-Drives, is your source for low-cost customized DC motor drive systems. Micro-Drives supplies OEM's with fractional horsepower miniature DC motors and gearmotors for applications as diverse as pumps, ventilation equipment, security and access control, CCTV, printing machinery, motorized window treatments, vending and gaming equipment, medical equipment and almost all other miniature actuator OEM applications you can imagine. We specialize in miniature DC motors and gearmotors ranging from 12mm to 52mm in diameter with power ratings up to 100 watts.
