A 10 mm permanent magnet stepping motor developed for applications such as disk drives, paper feeds, and primitive indexing functions offers high power open loop server control. The AM1020 provides holding torques of up to .34 oz-in. and comes in both voltage and current drive versions. Popular beta applications include miniature positioning stages, analytical instruments, test and measurement equipment, micropumps, laboratory robotics, inspection and security systems, and medical electronics.
The motor is compatible with a range of precision spur and planetary gearheads. The motor can be ordered with 19 companion gearheads with ratios from 4:1 to 154,368:1. Encoder feedback can also be provided for applications requiring sophistocated closed loop control.
