Popsi Cube Launches Popsicare A Telehealth App For Blood Pressure And Risk Factor Monitoring Dedicated To Medical Health Professionals And Pharmaceutical Industry

untitled

POPSI CUBE, a company dedicated to clinical research, has developed in collaboration with Withings Popsicare, a new computerised solution for the capturing and sharing of pulse and blood pressure data and medical questionnaire directly from the patient's home.

The capture of medical data from home and its transmission to health professionals in real time is a solution for the future with the advent of telehealth. Popsi Cube is fully aware of the interest that represents access to patient's medical data in the context of clinical studies but also in the day to day care of patients. As a result, we are now pleased to offer Popsicare to our partners in pharmaceutical laboratories, Biotech companies, and medical devices industry, that allow access to follow-up data on blood pressure associated with a medical questionnaire.

Popsicare allows for the integration and transmission of remotely captured pulse and blood pressure data along with patients' answers to a medical questionnaire. This new convenient interface uses the blood pressure monitor solution proposed by Withings and connected to an iPhone it enables:

  • simultaneous tracking of blood pressure evolution for a group of patients,
  • sending of a questionnaire to each patient on their Iphone,
  • interaction via SMS with the patients to remind them to take their blood pressure,
  • gathering of all this information (answers to questionnaires and blood pressure) on a portal dedicated to each health professional.,
  • the sending of alerts in real time to health professionals based on the information collected,
  • each patient to follow their own pulse and blood pressure data via the Withings interface.

Popsicare is intended for pharmaceutical laboratories, Biotech companies, and medical devices manufacturers wishing to follow precisely and regularly blood pressure measurements in the context of clinical or epidemiological studies.

Simple to use, the Withings connected self-measurement tool connects to an iPhone. The pulse and blood pressure measurements are made automatically once the questionnaire has been filled out by the patient, in one or several takes. All the information gathered is sent via the cellular connection to a secure server accessible on-line and in real time by the health professional.

As well as the time saved with accessing information, the application Popsicare, which is based on a standard consumer product solution and validated and approved by the international regulatory agencies, has the advantage of being cost effective for the implementation of clinical studies.

Popsi Cube is currently working on the development of other similar telehealth solutions for Popsicare using other types of connected captors which can be associated with this new interface such as a, glucometer, spirometer, saturometer and a solution for continuous internal temperature measurement.
